More Munchkin

Munchkin still continues her fascination of the vacuum. This may be how she learns how to walk, by holding on to the moving vacuum. I just love the hair blowing up.

Signs of Fall

I have a procrastination issue with Laundry, I really don't mind folding it, but I just don't make the time to sit down and do it. I finally sat down and folded about 8 loads last night. I realized matching a lot more socks this week.... I guess we are finally out of flip-flop weather. It is one of the other signs of fall.

Who got you dressed?

I may pick some of my kids clothes in the morning, but what they are wearing later in the day surprises even me. Cowboy vest, cowboy hat, Patriot's football jersey, Baseball batting gloves, Daddies watch and purple crocs..... Huh?

Play Dates

I love having play dates with other kids, it is crazy but a lot of fun. Today I watched 3 other kids and since Princess was in school there were 5 kids running around the house. We had a blast. We played outside, we played games, we got out some dress up clothes....

We even made funny faces at the camera.

.

It was loud and crazy and after they left, my husband said "I kind of miss the craziness, though it's a lot quieter now"

Hike

We went Hiking with our family and some friends. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.
I never realized that Buddy had such stamina, this is the view we had of him for most of the hike. We were really happy he was wearing a yellow hat, because it was easy to spot amid the trees. He LOVES to run.

Internet Safety

I attended an internet safety seminar this week that the kids school presented, it was pretty scary to learn what people can do with cell phones and the internet. I now think I probably post too much personal info... even though I don't use the kids real names and I am very careful about what I put online. I may even put too much out there.

Don't worry I will still blog, but I will even be more careful about what is put online. Basically you have to assume everything you put online can be found by anyone if they try hard enough.

I am trying to be reasonable about it but I recommend that if you use Facebook, Blogs and MySpace you try to find a presentation by the police about Internet Safety, It is well worth the time to be educated.

Princess Photographer

The kids have started taking pictures with the camera, and they think it is a fun game. Princess is actually getting better at it. Check out the latest she took.

3 Kids in a Tub

I think we have finally hit the point where we can't bath all 3 kids in the tub at once. Last night's bathtime was a challenge. The tub is pretty full and the big kids each want to lay down to wash their hair. Now bathtime will take longer, but since Princess is 5 it is probably time for her to start taking baths or showers alone.

Big Girl Bike

Princess got her bike for her 4th birthday, and we have been telling her that when she is 5 we can take off the training wheels. Of course every time we mention that we can take them off she is very vehement that she is not ready but maybe we can take them off when she is 12. Until Monday, she asked me very politely to take them off, without any prompting. Of course I said yes. Monday I ran with her and I could let go for about 10 seconds. By Tuesday afternoon she only needed help getting started. We need to practice turning and she still needs help getting started, but can now ride all by herself. The whole neighborhood was out watching.
Of course Buddy had to have his taken off too, I am sure his will go back on this week. I hope soon, He is really short to hold on to and run.

Busy weekend

We had a busy weekend, but it was lots of fun. Of course, I forgot the camera, so I just get to tell you all about it.

Saturday we went to the Consignment Sale and then packed up the whole family to head down to Hunt Club farm. They have a petting zoo and a Pumpkin Patch, plus for Halloween they had a bunch of bounce houses and a hay ride. The kids all had a blast, and we got our 3 pumpkins to carve in a few weeks.

We also got a babysitter for Saturday night and Daddy and I went to Homearama. They have a bunch of homes built and decorated completely for people to walk through. This year there was only 7, compared to last years 17. I love to check out the new ideas for home decorating and for a cheap-skate like me who won't buy her husband Nestle Chocolate chips because they are 60 cents more than the Hershey's chocolate chips it is cool to check out what you can get for lots of money. My favorite item was a really cool kids room with Pirate decor, and a cool double office that was called a kids study room on the floor plan. My kids would never get a study room when I could have cool built in desks. But the houses are also fully landscaped and some had several outdoor rooms, it was crazy. But we had fun checking them all out.

Consignment Sale

I love consignment sales.... This weekend I went to the consignment sale at GUMP, a local pre-school. They have a big one once a year. I got a small toy for each kid, 2 brand new crib sheets still in the original package, 2 pairs of uniform pants for Princess, and 4 pairs of pajamas for Munchkin. All for the bargain basement price of $17. This is Munchkin's new toy, the old cart that the other kids used was broken. And please note, this is not her normal attire. We just finished lunch and her dress was covered in yogurt, so we pulled it off and she wanted her toy before we got other clothes on her.

Army girl?

We bought parts of a halloween costume for Cousin C, of course we had to try it on first.

Design Help

These pictures are for my sister, and anyone else who wants to give their opinion about what I should do to finish the kids room.
The paint is very bold, but surprisingly grows on you. THANKS DOOF! It only has one coat, but since I can't paint till the weekend, (Daddy needs to watch the kids) I decided to start the curtains. However, now I have a challenge. When I bought the curtain fabric, I was planning on making standard curtains that split in the middle and mounting them wide so that I could open them fully to get as much light in the room as possible. However, since then we have put the kids beds into bunk beds and now that won't work. See the 2 windows and the bed RIGHT NEXT to it. This is one window: This is the other: So now what do I do with the curtains? This is my fabric.
I am debating doing a Roman Shade, but it may not be a good choice for a unique fabric. What do you think my options are?
This is also the quilt on Buddy's Bed and this quilt will hang on the one blank wall, along with some other stuff. THANKS MOM for all the quilts!
