Munchkin can RIDE

We have another big kid.  Munchkin is really doing well riding a bike without training wheels.  She wanted to show off for Daddy and did really great, taking off all on her own. She still prefers the one with training wheels for most days, but she is getting better!

Munchkins bike

Munchkin has been riding the bike with training wheels very well, so I thought it might be time to have her try the bike without training wheels.  She could ride it for about 10 feet before she decided it was too scary and she might try another day.

She is almost there but is not quite confident enough.  We will try again later in the summer.

Bikes

We got Princess a new used bike and she loves it, so now we take lots of bike rides around the block and through the neighborhood.  The two big kids really love to race. Check out the streamers on Princess' bike.

Munchkin keeps up with Scout and I in the stroller.
This picture makes me laugh, they wanted one together, so they put down their kickstands and then told me to take a picture of them both "looking like we're moving"

For my sister

My sister keeps teling me to update the blog.  (I think because my niece bugs her about it)  I just haven't made the time to do it. I also haven't taken many pictures lately. I have been spending my time getting kids to school and sewing.  Sewing is much more enjoyable, and I have finished LOTS of projects.

A trip to the Botanical Gardens with all their cool mazes.  They had set up all sorts of cool mazes just for the summer.  This is from the Sunflower maze. (it was a great night with blue skies)
This is Buddy running through the patriotic maze, in the shape of a flag, with the blue field a tree with stars hanging in it.
This was a maze of sheets, similar to the ones hanging on a clothesline, probably was more like a maze on a calm day, but on a windy day the kids loved running through the sheets.
The hay bale maze was fun to jump across.
This little guy hung out in his stroller and enjoyed the weather.
This is just a shot to show a little girl who learned how to pedal her big Dora bike.  She can almost keep up with the big kids.
