Vacuum girl
Some babies are afraid of the vacuum, Not my child... she likes to climb on so the air blows her in the face. She can hold on with her hands and use her legs to push it across the floor.

Church Picnic
We had the church picnic this weekend and we had a great time. It had all the elements of a good picnic. We had water balloon toss and a 3 legged race. Plus with the breeze off the water it was a little bit cooler and there were not any mosquito's. Princess loved the water guns.
Munchkin got her first tast of watermelon and loved it.
Buddy loved the cotton candy.

Package
We got another package from Auntie Ruth in the mail. I love getting new hand-me downs in the mail. Buddies favorite thing is his new Bruin's hat and batting gloves, he wore them both to bed tonight.
Our other favorite item is his new raincoat, it is identical to his sister's just a smaller size.

THANK YOU AUNTIE RUTH.

Tunnel
We bought a tunnel for the kids to play with when Princess was a baby, it is one of their favorite toys, I have pictures of each of the kids crawling in it when they first learn to crawl. This week we brought it out for Munchkin...
This is my best attempt at getting all 3 kids in the tunnel for a picture.
This is Princess and Buddy when Buddy was he was about 9 months old. That seems to be such a long time ago.

Zoo
We have a membership to the zoo here and it is cool because then we can just go for about an hour and not feel guilty about not getting our money's worth. We go pretty regularly. This week we went and played for a while. Of course their favorite part was chasing the hens...

Tropical Storm Hanna
Well, the tropical storm didn't do much here. A little bit of rain and a lot of wind, but the challenge was how to keep kids busy and out of trouble for a full day inside the house. We made cookies, played Memory and Candy Land, we even dug out new toys for the Munchkin.
I let the kids out for a while in a break in the rain and let them play... When I looked ou the window here was princess pretending this was a balance beam, not the best idea in gusty winds, but first I needed a picture. I need to start her in gymnastics soon. Too bad she wants to start ballet.
This is the big guy with his 3 stitches from yesterday, he even let us change the band-aid tonight after his bath.

Tough day for everyone.
Some days with kids are tougher than others... today was one of those days. Munchkin has been sick for a while and we got antibiotics on Monday. She was not improving, so we went back to the doctor late this afternoon, she now has 2 raging ear infections and we got more antibiotics. Of course I had all 3 kids with me and after keeping them somewhat quiet in the exam room we went to the empty pharmacy waiting area (within the clinic) So I let them run in circles around all the chairs. Of course what happens next is that my son runs into a chair HARD.
He has a huge gash on his forehead with blood runing down his face and despite being at the doctors office they won't do anything except give me a bandage and send me to the ER about 4 miles away. But of course in the process of all this I had dropped my keys and don't realize until I am in the parking lot in the rain (Hurricane Hanna is set to arrive tomorrow) and I have to take all 3 kids back into the clinic and search for my keys. I finally get all 3 kids buckled in when Buddy says he has to go pee. At this point I have determined that I am not bringing all 3 kids inside the clinic AGAIN, so he has to hold it until we get to the ER. We finally get there and his pants are damp, and it is a good thing I keep extra clothes in the back of the van.
Of course he screams while they take his temperature and blood pressure. It was a challenge but finally they put us in a room where there was a TV which calmed him down.
THEN finally daddy shows up in the ER and I got to leave with the girls and stop at Chick-Fil-A for dinner before heading home. Daddy and Buddy showed up at home an hour and a half later. It turns out that the papoose didn't work for a strong 3 year old. It took 3 people to hold him still while the Dr stitched up his head. Then the boys had to go out for cheeseburgers and chocolate milkshakes, after taking a little tour of the ambulance and getting stickers from the EMT on the ambulance. I am just thankful that everyone is OK, and at 9PM all children are finally asleep in their own beds. The day is over and I want a glass of wine.

Munchkin
I have finally decided to re-nickname the baby, she is developing a personality all her own so after much discussion and deliberation, her new blog name is "Munchkin" Speaking of, she is getting big and is trying to pull herself up to standing. Check out the latest pictures.

On the River
We spent Labor day weekend with Grandma and Grandpa on the river. There were lots of jelly-fish in the river, so we didn't play in the water much. They did take the kayak and the canoe out and Grandpa and Princess found a treasure half buried in the sand. Of course they had to take it home.
