There are lots of Random cool stuff about Bahrain, I will share some of them.
The eggs I bought are stamped with the day picked and the day they expire. They are sold in packages of all different sizes, from 3 eggs to 50. I have yet to see a dozen.
The apartment didn't come with a spatula, I succeeded in flipping these with a slotted spoon.
My package of 15 eggs.

Daddy dinner
Daddy is a great cook and actually does most meals on weekends. Once in a while we have an ultimate summer daddy meal. Ribs and corn on the cob, and nothing else. The kids loved it.
Piles of napkins were used.
One little boy gave up early and had a banana.
All because Daddy cooked some ribs.

Eating at the table
We are a family that eats dinner together at the table every night. It is an important part of our day. When we moved the movers lost some parts of our dining room table. Some VERY important parts, like the legs. We moved in our house in early July and have been eating on a 5' church folding table since we moved in. It worked, but was tough, we had to serve off the kitchen counter because the table was less than 30" wide. It was tough to have guests, we would eat in shifts. i.e. Kids eat first then adults eat.
We finally found and ordered a table, but it was custom because it had to match our existing chairs. We were told it could take up to 8 weeks to be delivered. FINALLY it was delivered. It is wonderful to finally able to have normal meals at the table. It has been a long 3 1/2 months, but we are enjoying every meal.
Now we just need to get the money from the movers to pay for said table.

Strawberry Jam
We went and picked strawberries this year. They are ready REALLY early due to the mild winter. We made 4 batches of Jam so far... I am doubting if it will last until spring.
Buddy thought it helped to mash the berries if he used his head.

Pie
Lest you think I am the only one who takes pictures of my creations. Daddy is on a pie making frenzy. We have had lemon merangue pie, 2 apple pies, 2 pumpkin pie, an Ohio lemon pie, and a blueberry pie.
He can make some great pies!

Smoothie's
I thought I was being a great mom, I was in a good mood and wanted to kick off our first full week of no school. I made strawberry smoothies for the kid's breakfast. They even helped make them. Then they tried them..
... the first few sips were good, but then they decided they weren't that good. I ended up drinking them for my breakfast and they had cereal. Oh well, I tried. Now I won't be asked to make them anymore.

Zucchini Relish
We made Zucchini relish again this year. The last time we made it was 2 years ago, see this post here. It turned out great this year, but now I have been asked for the recipe.... Here it is guys.
Grind a lot of zucchini, about 10 cups of zucchini. Add four large onions. I usually grind them in an old fashioned hand crank meat grinder and grind them together to measure about 12-13 cups of mush. (You could probably use a food processor.) Place in a pottery, crock, glass or stainless steel bowl with 5 tablespoons of Canning salt (non-iodized) cover and leave overnight.
The next day:
Rinse mixture with water and drain in batches. Squeeze out moisture. Place in large pot with a
1 finely chopped green pepper
1 finely chopped sweet red pepper
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp tumeric
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
2 tsp celery seed
1 heaping TBS of cornstarch
6 cups sugar, less if you don't like sweet relish
1 tsp dry mustard
Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, then put in canning jars and water process for 10 minutes or let cool and put in freezer safe containers and freeze.
It is not a big deal if some of the measurements are not exact, it has never turned out wrong. Leave me a comment if you have any questions, Enjoy
