Reading - more

We have a new reader in the house, and I love finding her curled up on the couch with a book.

 This child is usually on the other end of the couch.

 Daddy was trying to read too, but I think there are some other boys under that quilt.

 And then this little one found his sisters library book.  It was all about how to build things with Lego's.  He read it for a long time and then was mad when I made him stop.  He loves this book and any book about fire engines.  Fire engines are his new obsession.

 This is her attitude about her spelling homework.

Reading

I can't imagine this is comfortable, but it didn't seem to bother her.

Reading the Paper

Someone was trying to read the comics like the big people in the house when he got tackled by a big brother.

The big brother just wanted the Nook to play games.

Box of Toys

Scout makes me smile.  Princess has learned that if she puts him in his birthday box and covers him with toys then it takes him a while to get out and he doesn't try to get at whatever she has in her hands.

 It takes him even longer if you give him a balloon to play with.

This is his expression he gets on his face when he is excited... he loves playing with the balloon and he makes this face a lot.

Comics

The competion for the Sunday comics has gotten a lot fiercer lately.  You better be up early if you want the comics first in this house.

Who is hiding behind that book?

 The big kids love to be around the baby, they want to hug him, hold him and kiss him. In my attempt to give the child some space I suggested that they read him a book.   This is what happened, actually I think this is the 3rd book.  The first one was held in Princess's lap, but then they had to compete to see who could get closest to the baby.

At the exact same time, this one was getting a band-aid on his knee and "reading" this book to his little sister, unfortunately he saw me with the camera and wouldn't smile or look at me...

I love it when it is quiet in the house and I wonder who is into trouble.  This week I caught her doing something great.  Reading in the sunlight at her desk.  I love it.

Princess is getting to be quite the reader, she is even willing to read to her brother and sister.

Bedtime Reading

Princess loves to read to her little sister, it is great that they entertain each other when the boy of the family is having fun in the tub.
